I’ve recently moved to this beautiful area from NY and was immediately drawn to the warm weather, and pristine beaches. As far back as I can remember I’ve wanted to do hair, and began fulfilling that dream 16 years ago. I specialize in color, highlighting, and cuts.
Building rapport with future clients is one of my favorite parts of the business.
I’m living the dream as a wife, mom, and now doing hair in the sunshine state, and truly happy to be the new owner here at Making Waves Salon.

I started my career in the hair industry in Long Island NY before moving to the Sarasota/ Nokomis area 34 years ago. From 2009-2014, I owned a salon in Nokomis. I am excited to have been given the opportunity to open another salon in our beautiful little town.
I love all aspects of what I do from simple cuts to precision cuts, color, color correction, and foils. The thing I love most about my career is all the wonderful friends I have made during my 35 years of doing hair.

I recently relocated to the beautiful area in Nokomis, Fl. I’ve always had an artist’s heart and was privileged to begin a career in colors and cuts in 1986, working with talented stylists in Memphis, Tennessee.
Color corrections is my jam, especially cutting the brass from your hair!
The hair industry is constantly changing and education changes with it. I’ve had the opportunity to sit in some of the top master’s classes to further my education. Including Tabitha coffee from the TV series Salon Take Over.
If you’re new in town or looking for a new stylist to jazz up your hair, Making Waves is the salon you need to call. Haircuts, precision cuts, perms, color, balayage, ombré & color corrections are my specialties!
Attention men! If you’re looking to blend your grey and not totally cover it, I have a special recipe for that!

I began my hair journey back in 2020 but I’ve been begging friends and family to let me experiment with their hair for as long as I can remember.
I love doing anything hair-related but my favorite services are color, highlights, styling, braiding and updos, or any big drastic transformation!
If I’m not at the salon you can find me on the beach or playing with my fur babies. I’m a proud dog and cat mom and love all animals.
I cherish the relationships I’ve made doing hair and I look forward to the ones I’ll make in the future!
